Is it Autism? Identifying Characteristics of ASD in Children, Adolescents & Adults
Hosted by Dr. Agnesa Papazian
Friday, April 15 2022, 9AM PST
OVERVIEW:ASD begins before the age of 3 years and can last throughout a person’s life, although symptoms may improve over time. Some children with ASD gain new skills and meet developmental milestones until around 18 to 24 months of age, and then they stop gaining new skills or lose the skills they once had. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) continues to affect many children and families. Services and support for children are critical in early childhood and as they grow into adolescence and adulthood. (Published December 2, 2022). Early detection and diagnosis are key factors in accessing early intervention services. We will discuss topics including early diagnosis, intervention, as well as identifying characteristics in our adolescent and adults patients.
