In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a new ShrinkSync version available! If you’re phone is set to auto-update your apps, you should already have it. However, if your phone is set to manual updates, you will have to go into your app store and download the upgrade. It’s simple and should only take you a few seconds.
We understand that sometimes there are roadblocks to downloading apps to your device so we want to answer a few commonly asked questions related to this issue.
What is my Apple ID and password?
Your Apple ID is the name linked to all of your Apple accounts including itunes and the app store. Can’t remember your Apple ID? To retrieve it click here.
Additionally, if you can’t remember your Apple password, you can reset it by visiting apple support, or click here.
Why am I being asked for a credit card to download the app? I thought ShrinkSync was free!
ShrinkSync is both free to download and to use! Apple requires users to have a credit card on file before they can download anything from the app store even if what you want to download is free. This makes it easier for future app store purchases. You will not be charged for downloading ShrinkSync, either by us or by Apple!

- If you see the error message “You are not authorized to use this app” it means the email you’re using is not registered. This may be because you either signed up with a different email address, changed it while updating your profile or have misspelled your email. Please try again.
- If you see the error message “Wrong username or password” you are using the wrong password. Please try again or reset your password using the next tip.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Forgot Password” button on the screen and look for an email to reset it. Please note, you must open this email and reset your password through a computer and not a mobile device.
